FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do parents and teachers communicate through Skolar Bot?
Parents and teachers interact through the platform rather than personal phone numbers and WhatsApp groups — messages, queries, feedback and PTM scheduling sit against the student record. Teachers keep their private numbers private, and the school retains a record of what was communicated.
Can we schedule and run parent-teacher meetings online?
Yes. PTM scheduling and online PTM feedback are supported, so slots are booked rather than queued for, and the feedback captured in the meeting is stored against the student instead of on a form that is filed and forgotten.
Does this replace our school WhatsApp groups?
That is the usual intent. Announcements, alerts, homework, fee reminders and results all reach parents through the app and the alert module, so the WhatsApp group stops being the system of record. Schools typically run both briefly, then retire the groups once parents adopt the app.
Can parents raise a complaint or request through the system?
Yes, through the service requests module. Requests are logged, routed and tracked to closure, so a parent complaint has a status rather than depending on whether the person who took the call remembers it.
